Luke 17:6 “The Lord answered, "If you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, 'May you be uprooted and thrown into the sea,' and it would obey you!”
That is a powerful scripture of faith which reminds me of our recent visit to Israel.
One thing many people do when they visit, is write down their prayer(s) and put them in the Western Wall. Since it is a remnant of the original temple, “It is traditionally believed that the Divine Presence of God is on the Western Wall.”
So, a month before we left to Israel, I sent out a message to family and friends requesting the prayers that they wanted placed in the wall. I received so many request that I felt like I was on a mission. I checked, double checked and rechecked often to make sure none were lost. When the time came to leave, I put them in a secured spot and carried them each day until I arrived at the Western Wall where I placed each prayer strategically.
Here is the key. It isnt the wall that answers prayers, it is faith that causes God to move. We had the faith to believe, that if the prayer would just get there, He would answer them. Just like the lady in the bible who had the blood issue. She knew that if she could just touch the hem of his garment, she would be healed.
Faith works by action. (James 2:17) Many times people are believing God for something but they themselves do nothing. They just sit on the sidelines waiting for an answer or change wondering why it hasn't come.
For instance, maybe you feel a cold coming on. The first thing you do is take medication (action). Although you don't see the ingredients, you know that it will cure you because the pharmaceutical company and doctor said it would (faith). The same goes with faith. You don’t see it but the main physician (God) says use it. You begin believing God at His word for everything- healing, restoration, deliverance. You start praising and thanking Him for the victory, even before you see it with your eyes- that's action. Soon you will start seeing results.
So, if you're going through a predicament, start doing something. Start singing, dancing, praising or speaking the word of God over that situation and begin to activate your faith. Give God something to work with. You will not be disappointed……JustFood4Thought
New International Version
In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
Hebrews 11:1King James Version (KJV)
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
