As I sit here reminiscing about the beauty of Israel, I don’t think I can ever thank God enough for taking me there.
Israel is absolutely beautiful. There’s something about Israel that changes your perspective, mind, soul and body. It’s as if a transformation happens while you’re there.
Actually, it’s hard to find the right words to describe my experience because it doesn’t really capture the fullness of it; but its life changing. I can see why God loves Israel and their His chosen. It’s as if His finger is on everything.
The fruit is so pure, natural and delicious. The vegetables are fresh and organic. Everything is fresh. The flavor and fragrance of the meals are captivating.
Young children fill the streets early in the morning as they go to school. You can hear the laughter from the hotel window as they have recess. Their laughter travels through the narrow streets as if it sharing the joy of a child with all who will capture it.
I can still hear the Muslim sound to prayer as it echoes in the morning silence. The crisp morning air fills the room with the fresh morning smell. Silence is in the air during the early dawn except for the squeaking noises from the buses. The city is still quiet as morning breaks.
The streets are filled with the busyness of people ranging from tourist to Israelis. Young soldiers are a constant image on the streets and buses. Despite their presence, you are free to roam the city. I felt safe. It felt natural.
Oh, the scenery. The hills, mountains and valleys are captivating. The ocean and sea put you in a trance that will have you lost in forever. The beauty of the flowers are splendid.
God created a picture perfect postcard when He created Israel and I am grateful to have visited. I now long to make my journey back to the place where I left my heart-Israel.
